Chris has more than four decades of experience across oil and gas exploration, drilling, development, production and corporate leadership in Australia and internationally.
He co-founded Bridgeport Energy in 2009 and led the business as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for approximately 16 years. During that time, Bridgeport grew from a small Australian producer into an established operator with a portfolio of oil fields and petroleum tenements.
His earlier leadership roles include worldwide operations responsibility at ROC Oil and senior positions with Oil Search and Cultus Petroleum. His experience spans Australian and international onshore and offshore developments, from appraisal and investment decisions through construction, production and asset optimisation.

- ROC Oil, 2003–2009: General Manager Worldwide Operations / Chief Operating Officer.
- Oil Search, 2001–2003: Offshore Drilling Manager.
- Cultus Petroleum, 1995–2000: Operations Manager, Drilling and Production.
- Development experience includes Maari, Patricia Baleen, Cliff Head and Beibu Gulf.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (Mechanical); BSc Geology (Honours), Acadia University; BEng (Mechanical), Dalhousie University.
